Attorney Dan Ujczo Quoted in the National Post Regarding NAFTA Renegotiation

In the article, “90 Days and Counting: What Triggering the NAFTA Talks Means for Canada,” published by the National Post, Dickinson Wright Attorney Dan Ujczo is quoted on the timing of the letter by U.S. Trade Representative Robert Lighthizer that notified the Canadian government of the U.S. desire to renegotiate NAFTA.

Mr. Lighthizer was recently confirmed as U.S. Trade Representative by the U.S. Senate earlier this month. Mr. Ujczo said sending the letter out so quickly demonstrates a “need for speed” on getting the trade talks underway ahead of the U.S. midterm elections in 2018 and the Mexican presidential elections in 2018.
