She enjoys working with clients to develop cost-effective strategies for developing, maintaining and expanding their intellectual property portfolio.
She also handles all aspects of domain name acquisitions and disputes, copyright registration and enforcement, and litigation concerning infringement, dilution, and unfair competition issues.
She has managed worldwide trademark portfolios on behalf of numerous clients, including marks filed in over 175 countries, covering numerous industries such as clothing, travel, food and retail industries. She is currently managing thousands of active domestic and foreign trademark matters for both mature and emerging companies on an ongoing basis.
She is experienced with a broad array of domain name dispute resolution policies and forums and has successfully obtained well over 50 domain name transfers on behalf of clients pursuant to the Uniform Domain Name Dispute Resolution Policy (UDRP) and corresponding policies in countries who have adopted variations of the UDRP.
Ms. Meyer has extensive experience with drafting and negotiating co-branding agreements, license agreements involving complex corporate structures and between unaffiliated companies, worldwide trademark assignments, and international master license agreements.
She also has experience with global anti-counterfeiting enforcement and shutting down ex-licensees worldwide that continue to use marks post-termination.
While it is typically advisable to find a way to resolve disputes short of litigation, Ms. Meyer has represented clients in federal courts involving copyright and trademark infringement, counterfeiting, dilution and unfair competition claims, in California, Florida, New York, Virginia, Michigan, Oklahoma and Wisconsin.
