Andrew Dorisio and Nick Coleman Bring Their Patent, Trademark and Copyright Practice to Dickinson Wright’s Kentucky Office

Dickinson Wright PLLC is pleased to announce that Andrew Dorisio, a Registered Patent and Trademark Attorney, has joined the firm’s Lexington office as a Member and Nick Coleman, also a Registered Patent and Trademark Attorney, has joined as Of Counsel, along with experienced intellectual property specialists Lucie Swain, Heather Purnell and Robin Dennis.
“We are excited to welcome Andrew, Nick and their team to our Lexington office where they will continue their local, national and international intellectual property practice,” says David Owen, a Member of Dickinson Wright. “The addition of the team deepens the strength of the firm’s internationally-recognized intellectual property practice while offering our regional clients the opportunity to protect their intellectual property assets both domestically and abroad.”
Andrew focuses his practice on patents, trademarks and copyrights. He is registered to practice before the United States Patent and Trademark Office, and also licensed to practice law in Kentucky and West Virginia. He regularly counsels clients on intellectual property portfolio management; patent prosecution and enforcement strategy, trademark selection, procurement, and enforcement; infringement clearance; and strategic counseling with respect to IP procurement and avoidance. He formerly served as an Adjunct Professor of Patent, Trademark, and Intellectual Property Law at the University of Kentucky College of Law. He is a member of the Kentucky Bar Association, the West Virginia Bar Association, and the American Intellectual Property Law Association. Andrew received his Bachelor of Science Degree in Mechanical Engineering from West Virginia University and his Juris Doctorate from the University of Kentucky College of Law.
Nick focuses his practice on patents, trademarks, and copyrights. He is registered to practice before the United States Patent and Trademark Office and is also licensed to practice law in Kentucky and Georgia. Nick received his Bachelor of Science Degree in Biological Engineering from Louisiana State University, his Master’s Degree in Biological Systems and Agricultural Engineering from the University of Kentucky, and his Juris Doctorate from the University of Kentucky College of Law.
The addition of intellectual property capabilities complements the other Kentucky lawyers servicing clients in the areas of corporate transactions, securities, commercial real estate, finance, federal taxation, government investigations, white collar crime, commercial litigation and estate planning/probate.
