Dickinson Wright is pleased to announce that Cindy Villanueva has been named a “Class of 2022 40 Under 40” honoree by Phoenix Business Journal.
The Phoenix Business Journal 40 Under 40 Awards recognizes the next generation of Valley executives who are emerging as leaders in their fields. Honorees will be recognized at the Phoenix Business Journal's 40 Under 40 Awards event on August 4, 2022. "I am honored to be a part of the Phoenix Business Journal's outstanding 2022 Class of 40 Under 40," says Cindy.
Ms. Villanueva is Of Counsel in the firm’s Intellectual Property Department. She practices in the areas of domestic and international trademark and copyright prosecution, licensing and enforcement. She assists clients with brand development and identifying various protectable aspects of the clients’ products, services and concepts. Ms. Villanueva also helps clients with clearing all aspects of advertising, promotional and marketing materials and products, including trademark, copyright and right of publicity clearances.
In addition to her prosecution practice, Ms. Villanueva drafts and negotiates a variety of intellectual property agreements such as assignments, licenses, rights of publicity agreements, non-disclosure agreements, and work for hire agreements. As part of her practice, she also represents clients in a wide variety of disputes involving trademarks, copyrights, rights of publicity, and domain names, including the resolution of disputes over contested trademarks before the Trademark Trial and Appeal Board and enforcing clients’ intellectual property rights in court.
