Dickinson Wright PLLC is pleased to announce that Sonia Agee has joined the firm’s Silicon Valley office as a Member.
Sonia advises clients on corporate law with a focus on tax matters. She counsels companies, startups, and individuals on all aspects of corporate law, including corporate structuring, mergers & acquisitions, joint ventures, technology licensing, intellectual property protection, and taxation.
As a certified tax specialist by the State Bar of California’s Board of Legal Specialization, Sonia’s experience benefits clients involved in corporate transactions and re-organizations. She also advises clients on domestic and international tax and estate planning and counseling, tax audits, and tax controversies. She counsels clients on wealth transfer planning, business succession planning, closely held business planning, charitable planning, and tax counseling.
Sonia served four years as a commissioner on the State Bar of California’s Taxation Law Advisory Commission, including a term as Commission Chair. She is a member of the Santa Clara County Bar Association and the Santa Clara County Estate Planning Council. Sonia received her B.A. from Boston University, her J.D. from Temple University, and her LL.M. in Taxation from Golden Gate University School of Law.
