Sonia M. Agee

Sonia Agee, a Member in Dickinson Wright’s Silicon Valley office, focuses her practice on corporate, tax and private client matters. She has counseled individuals and companies of all sizes, including startups, on all aspects of corporate law including entity formation, corporate structuring, finance, mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, technology licensing, intellectual property protection, stock option and compensation planning, wealth management, succession planning, and the drafting and negotiation of business contracts.

As a certified tax specialist by the State Bar of California’s Board of Legal Specialization, Sonia is well-equipped to advise clients in many aspects of tax law. She advises clients on domestic and international tax and estate planning, tax audits and controversies, as well as wealth transfer planning, business succession planning, closely held business planning, charitable planning, and general tax counseling.

Sonia has helped clients build, finance, and sell their US and foreign operations, handling numerous cross-border acquisitions and sales in the process. She has advised a wide variety of companies from inception to successful exits for founders and investors. Additionally, Sonia has handled income and estate tax planning for many foreign nationals, including offshore entity formation and transactions.
