Angelique Neal was recently quoted in a Lawyers Weekly article, “6th circuit revives late tax petition on equitable tolling,” discussing a decision that could expand access for taxpayers contesting IRS findings. "I think that it's going to give a lot of taxpayers basically a second chance. But the burden of proof is still going to be on taxpayers to establish equitable tolling,” she says.
