Flavia Campbell

Member and Trademarks and Copyrights Practice Group Co-Chair
Flavia Campbell focuses her practice in the areas of trademarks and copyrights, counseling her clients on management of their intellectual property rights in the U.S. and abroad. In addition to assisting clients with the selection, clearance, prosecution, policing and enforcement of their trademarks, she negotiates and drafts a wide variety of intellectual property agreements, represents clients in opposition and cancellation proceedings before the Trademark Trial and Appeal Board, and provides counsel on trademark matters in general. Flavia also advises clients on the clearance and registration of copyrights, and negotiates releases, licenses and other agreements involving copyrights and rights of publicity. Her work also includes assisting clients with domain name disputes, websites privacy policy statements and terms of use.  Having started her professional career in Brazil, Flavia brings a unique perspective to global portfolio management.

Flavia has been named one of the Top 100 lawyers in Arizona in 2020-2021 by the AZ Big Media publication, she has been recognized by The Best Lawyers in America® for Trademark Law five times in the past six years and she is also a seven-time recipient of the IP Star honor by Managing Intellectual Property and has been consistently ranked as one the World’s Leading Trademark Professionals by WTR since 2017. She has been an active member of INTA for nearly two decades and has served on multiple committees, including the Internet committee, the Public and Media Relations Committee, the INTA Bulletin Committee, and the Emerging Issues Committee.

  • Manages the trademark portfolio of a tobacco wholesaler and distributor, including prosecution before the USPTO and TTAB.
  • Offers legal representation and guidance to a company providing worldwide human resources services, including advice on brand selection, protection, and enforcement.
  • Assists a major retailer of pool and spa supplies with trademark strategy, including clearance, prosecution and enforcement matters.
  • Provides legal representation to an international real estate franchise in managing its trademark portfolio both domestically and internationally.
  • Retained by a next-generation consumer goods company with a portfolio of tens of thousands of products under more than 200 brands to assist with a variety of IP matters.
  • Engaged by a leading arts organization to provide counseling in trademark and copyright matters.
  • Retained by a publicly traded Mexican grocery store chain to assist with portfolio management and enforcement matters.
