Fernanda Martins is an associate in Dickinson Wright’s Toronto office. Fernanda brings international legal experience with a background in appellate proceedings before Brazil’s Federal Court of Appeal. During several years clerking with the court, she assisted with appeals involving a range of civil and commercial disputes. Her work included involvement in early cases addressing the employment classification of gig economy workers.
Prior to her clerkship, Fernanda worked as a law student with international law firms and with Brazil’s Federal Court of Appeal while completing her legal studies.
Fernanda earned her LL.M. from the University of Toronto and obtained her Certificate of Qualification from the Federation of Law Societies of Canada. She holds an LL.B. from the Pontifical Catholic University of São Paulo in Brazil.
