Dickinson Wright is pleased to announce that Eric McDonough has joined the firm’s San Diego office. Eric will have primary responsibility for the commercial litigation practice in California, working with our San Diego and Mountain View teams. He will also assist the firm’s litigation practice outside of California on matters in-state.
Eric focuses his practice on business and commercial litigation. He has extensive experience in trade secrets litigation and restrictive covenant claims, technology disputes, unfair competition disputes, real estate litigation, products liability and tort litigation, insurance bad faith, and ERISA litigation. Eric is a seasoned trial attorney with extensive experience in all phases of civil discovery, pre-trial, trial, and post-trial litigation and has first chaired and defended a number of complex litigation matters in California and before the California Court of Appeals and the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals.
Eric is a member of the California Bar Association and the Beverly Hills Bar Association. He is recognized as a leader in his field by Daily Journal’s Top Trade Secrets Lawyers and Los Angeles Business Journal’s Leaders of Influence: Litigators & Trial Attorneys. He was recognized by Best Lawyers in America in the Commercial Litigation category in 2023. Eric received his B.A. from the University of California, Berkeley, and his J.D. from Santa Clara University.
