Dickinson Wright is pleased to announce that Mark D. Marsden, Ph.D. has joined the firm’s San Diego office as Of Counsel.
Mark is an intellectual property attorney whose practice focuses on life sciences and biotechnology matters. Drawing on his background as a molecular biologist, he works with clients to protect complex scientific innovations and navigate intellectual property issues involving cutting-edge technologies.
Before transitioning to law, Mark conducted postdoctoral research at the Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center in Seattle, where his work focused on chromosomal regulation of human serpin genes. He earned his Ph.D. in molecular biology from the University of London at the National Institute for Medical Research, now the Francis Crick Institute, where his research examined the organization and regulation of human gene clusters.
Mark is recognized as a leader in his field by Best Lawyers in America “Ones to Watch.” He received his J.D. from the University of Washington School of Law.
