The 2022 Most Influential Black Lawyers list is comprised of the “best of the best” of Black lawyers that are partners within leading national law firms, corporate and general counsel from Fortune 1000 corporations. As diversity and inclusion for legal professionals continue to grow, Savoy’s listing of top lawyers focuses on an influential cross section of legal professionals who exemplify professionalism, protection of rights and community service. The 2022 Most Influential Black Lawyers are featured in the Winter 2022 issue of Savoy Magazine. Venroy brings a breadth of experience, assisting clients at all stages of the life cycle from formation to fundraising to acquisition and/or exit. He has represented companies, both private and public, operating in the transportation, Information Technology, Healthcare, Oil & Gas, government contracting, cybersecurity, banking and technology industries on an array of matters including equity and asset sales and purchases, leveraged buy-outs, restructurings, debt offerings, and licensing transactions. He also regularly helps clients with other business needs, including various forms of loan transactions, compliance with U.S. securities laws and general commercial matters. In addition, he has written extensively on, and is a sought after speaker regarding the Opportunity Zone law legislation.
Venroy is a member of the Board of Directors of LifeBridge Health, Grace Medical Center, and the East Baltimore Development Inc. He is recognized as a leader in his field by Best Lawyers in America, Maryland Super Lawyers and has been named “Who’s Who in the Law” by the Baltimore Business Journal, “40 Under 40” by Black Business Review and the National Bar Association. He is a Morehead-Cain Scholar and participated in the Leadership Council on Legal Diversity Fellowship Program. Venroy received his B.A. from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and his J.D. from Duke University School of Law.
