Government Investigations and SEC Enforcement Lawyer Jacob Frenkel Joins Dickinson Wright

Dickinson Wright PLLC is pleased to announce that Attorney Jacob S. Frenkel has joined the firm’s Washington, D.C. office as a Member and will Chair the firm's Government Investigations and Securities Enforcement practice. He joins Dickinson Wright from Shulman, Rogers, Gandal, Pordy & Ecker, where he served in the same capacity for 11-1/2 years.

Mr. Frenkel focuses his practice in federal and state securities enforcement defense, white-collar criminal defense, FCPA, government investigations defense, internal corporate investigations, and corporate governance. He brings to Dickinson Wright his reputation for obtaining favorable results for individuals, including financial services industry professionals, auditors and attorneys, and for corporations and their officers, directors and other senior officials in federal and state securities, financial crimes, FCPA, export, government contracts, public corruption, and other government and regulatory investigations. He also has served as an expert witness in high stakes litigation involving SEC enforcement practices, public corruption, stock manipulation and federal securities laws.
Before going into private practice, Mr. Frenkel served as a Senior Counsel in the SEC’s Division of Enforcement in Washington, US federal criminal prosecutor of public corruption and financial crimes and Assistant District Attorney in New Orleans. He is a member of the Audit Committee of the Board of Directors for both the Jewish Federation of Greater Washington and the United States Youth Soccer Association. He is also a member of the Board of Directors of the International Association of Independent Corporate Monitors.
Mr. Frenkel received his B.A. from Tulane University College of Arts and Sciences and his J.D. from Tulane University Law School.
