Dickinson Wright Advises BioMatrix Specialty Pharmacy on Sale to ACON Investments

Dickinson Wright PLLC is pleased to announce that the firm served as legal adviser to BioMatrix Specialty Pharmacy on its sale to ACON Investments, L.L.C. and its affiliates. The transaction was completed in November 2016.
BioMatrix Specialty Pharmacy L.L.C. is a specialty pharmacy platform company with a focus on both infused and oral specialty drugs. As part of this transaction, ACON partnered with Tracy Finn and Patrick Keefe, two former senior executives of Omnicare, Inc., and Triton Pacific Capital Partners, LLC, an experienced private equity healthcare services investor. BioMatrix will continue to be led by CEO Bruce Greenberg and other members of the existing senior management team, together with Tracy Finn, who will serve as Executive Chairman.
The Dickinson Wright team was led by Joel Mayersohn (Member) in our Ft. Lauderdale office and comprised of Sarah Cavanaugh (Of Counsel) in our Ft. Lauderdale office and Rose Willis (Member) in our Troy, Mich. office while Hogan Lovells US LLP and DLA Piper LLP US acted as legal advisors to ACON. Robert W. Baird & Co. acted as exclusive financial adviser to BioMatrix in the transaction. Debt financing for the acquisition was provided by Capital One through syndicated credit facilities.
