Toronto Lawyer Brenda Swick recently authored an article in The Lawyer’s Daily titled “B.C. log export restrictions the big change in softwood lumber dispute”.
On Jan. 2, 2018, the U.S. Department of Commerce (DOC) published the final order imposing antidumping and countervailing duties (CVDs) on imports of softwood lumber from Canada. In the article Ms. Swick details the ongoing softwood lumber issue and how these new duties add another layer to the ongoing dispute.
