Join Dickinson Wright Attorney Sara Jodka (Member, Columbus) for a complimentary webinar titled “The CCPA Update: What the Amendments and the Attorney General’s Regulations Really Mean for Your Business” on Wednesday, December 4, 2019 at 2:00 p.m.
The CCPA (California Consumer Privacy Act) is a first-of-its-kind US privacy law that vastly expands the privacy rights of California consumers/households and the privacy obligations of businesses that have California consumer data.
With the effective date for the CCPA only a little over a month away, all the amendments finalized, and the Attorney General’s CCPA regulations issued for public comment, covered businesses have important operational decisions to make within a very short timeframe.
This webinar will help participants understand how the amendments and Attorney General’s proposed regulations affect your understanding of the CCPA and the transition plans you may have in place or may need to get into place in order to comply with the new law. This webinar will expand on the guidance provided in our June 2019 webinar, which discussed the overall scope of the CCPA, key definitions, operational components, and business obligations concerning new notice requirements, data subject rights, employee training, and more, and focus specifically on the to-do items businesses need to get in place prior to the effective date of the law, such as privacy notices, verification processes, and data request compliance mechanisms.
