–Coordinated review of land positions, mineral title, corporate structure, water availability, and permitting status and compliance for various hard rock mining projects.

–Represented a mining company during a trial in Federal District Court in a case involving competing possessory mining claims.

–Represented a mineral estate holder in litigation with surface estate holders to determine respective rights for reservations encompassing tens of thousands of acres.

–Provided due diligence support in connection with acquisitions and dispositions of natural gas and biogas facilities.

–Obtained and defended environmental permits for mining projects in state and federal administrative and judicial proceedings.

–Represented a mining trade associate in state and local regulatory rulemakings regarding air quality, water quality, and reclamation.

–Defended client in proceeding with state mine reclamation agency over respective obligations of the owner and former operators.

–Represented a mining company to ensure access across tribal lands.
