Doron Yitzchaki was recently quoted in the Crain’s Detroit Business article, “Stellantis avoiding plant shutdowns by paying supplier 'under hostage threat,” providing insight on the company’s recent $100,000 payment to the auto supplier, MacLean-Fogg Component Solutions LLC, in order to keep operations running pending a court order in Stellantis’ lawsuit against the supplier. As Stellantis’ attorney, Doron details how the ongoing disputes between suppliers and automakers may encourage suppliers to threaten shutdowns when they want price increases, stating “It’s a slippery slope where a supplier is encouraged right now to threaten a catastrophic shutdown of plants every time (they) want a price increase.” To read the article, click here.
