Dickinson Wright PLLC is pleased to announce that Attorneys Ronald Bultje and Crystal Bultje have joined the firm’s Grand Rapids office.
Ronald Bultje is joining the firm as a Member. His practice is concentrated in the areas of municipal law and labor relations. He represents numerous municipalities throughout the western half of Michigan’s lower peninsula. He has extensive experience in advising legislative bodies, planning commissions, and zoning boards of appeal. In representing municipalities, Mr. Bultje provides a full array of services, including advice on contracts, intergovernmental relations, land transfers, governmental powers and authority, land use and zoning, utilities, millage matters, the Open Meetings Act, and the Freedom of Information Act. He also has participated in collective bargaining negotiations, unfair labor practice hearings, arbitration hearings, and unemployment hearings. He also has provided counsel to municipalities and private sector employers regarding fair employment practices.
Mr. Bultje is a member of the American Bar Association’s State/Government and Labor and Employment Sections, the State Bar of Michigan’s Labor and Employment and Public Corporation Law Sections, and the Ottawa County Bar Association. He is recognized as a leader in his field by Best Lawyers in America. Mr. Bultje received his B.A. from Calvin College and his J.D. from the University of Michigan.
Crystal Bultje is joining the firm as an Associate. Her practice is focused in the areas of municipal and labor law. She also has experience with appellate matters, litigation, and family law. Prior to moving into private practice, she interned for Judge Mark T. Boonstra with the Michigan Court of Appeals and the Wayne County Prosecutor’s Office. She is a member of the American Bar Association’s Family, Labor and Employment, Litigation, and State/Local Government Law Sections, the State Bar of Michigan’s Family Law, Municipal Law, and Appellate Sections, and the Ottawa County Bar Association. Ms. Bultje received her B.A. from Hope College and her J.D. from Michigan State University’s College of Law.
