Attorney Monica Labe Joins Winning Futures Board of Directors

Winning Futures, an award-winning non-profit organization that empowers young people to succeed through mentoring and strategic planning, recently announced the election of one new board member, Monica Labe, Partner and Deputy CEO in charge of Practice Management and Business Development/Marketing of Dickinson Wright PLLC.
“Being a Winning Futures Mentor has given me a unique perspective into the incredible work this organization does to help young people approach their lives and future careers with confidence and optimism,” said Ms. Labe. “I intend to continue to serve as a mentor but I wanted to get more involved with Winning Futures at the Board level to help this important organization enhance its impact on our student communities (and future leaders) for years to come.”
Monica Labe lives in Huntington Woods, and is an alumnus of the University of Michigan and Northwestern University School of Law. She has been with Dickinson Wright PLLC since 1993 and is a member of the firm’s Management Group, with oversight responsibility for its 10 practice departments and for the firm’s business development and marketing initiatives. Before her current management role, she served as the Practice Department Manager for the Firm’s Real Estate, Environmental and Energy practice groups. Her areas of commercial real estate expertise include representing multi-national corporations, developers, real estate private equity firms, lenders and real estate investment companies in the acquisition, development, leasing, financing, construction and disposition of industrial, office, retail, mixed-use and entertainment projects throughout Michigan and the U.S.
Before becoming a board member, Ms. Labe volunteered as a mentor for Winning Futures and will continue to serve as a mentor. She sits on the JVS Trade Secrets Host Committee and has served on the Michigan Women’s Foundation – Grants Distribution Committee, the Jewish Federation – Real Estate Committee, the ADL Board and Commercial Real Estate Women Detroit Board. She is a fellow of the American College of Real Estate Lawyers and is a Member of the Council of the Real Property Section of the State Bar of Michigan.
