Carolyn Johnsen was recently featured in SpringParker’s, “Risky Healthcare Business,” podcast. Carolyn gives her insight on the bankruptcy and restructuring risk in health care. The discussion includes creative solutions through bankruptcy and restructuring alternatives not only for entities in financial distress but also for entities that want to sell or grow their businesses. One example she cites is how a bankruptcy solved the problems of a small physician-owned hospital by successfully merging with a larger group thus enabling payment of creditors in full and a large return to equity.
