Attorney Joel Mayersohn recently wrote the article titled “4 Things to Know When Selling Your Business to a Private Equity Firm,” published by BOSS Magazine.
In the article, Mr. Mayersohn writes about the selling process and how to prepare your company when a private equity firm wants to buy your business. One of the most important steps, he says, is to determine what your business is worth.
“As you develop a financial picture that tells a compelling story, the appraisal of your business can be used to maximize value and develop a framework of ranges,” Mr. Mayersohn writes. “It also explains your financial strategies and highlights why your company is appealing to a private equity firm.”
He goes on to talk about other topics including management and company culture, expert council, and quality of earnings. Mr. Mayersohn is a member in the firm’s Ft. Lauderdale office and focuses his practice in corporate, securities, and business law.
