Dickinson Wright PLLC is pleased to announce that Attorney Jeffrey Silver (Of Counsel, Las Vegas) has been selected as Chair of the Board of Directors for the National Museum of Organized Crime and Law Enforcement (aka “Mob Museum) in Las Vegas.
Mr. Silver previously served as Vice Chair of the Board of Directors. He was initially invited to join the board because of his tenure with the Nevada Gaming Control Board during the era that Nevada was fighting organized crime involvement, as depicted in the movie “Casino.”
The National Museum of Organized Crime and Law Enforcement provides a world-class, interactive journey through true stories from the birth of the Mob, to today’s headlines. The building itself, which is on the National Register of Historical Places, is the old Las Vegas Federal Courthouse and Post Office where Sen. Estes Kefauver held hearings in 1950 concerning organized crime’s influence on America. The museum opened on February 13, 2012, and has hosted over 1 million visitors.
