Dickinson Wright is pleased to announce that Lael Andara has joined the firm’s Silicon Valley office as a Member.
Lael focuses his practice on technology and intellectual property law, with an emphasis on patent litigation. A Registered Patent Attorney, he develops and initiates strategies in high-stakes intellectual property disputes, including patent, copyright, trademark, false advertising, licensing, ITC investigations, and trade secret matters. With a reputation for managing complex disputes efficiently and creatively, Lael successfully navigates issues that arise when a client both asserts its patent rights and defends against simultaneous charges of infringement. He also counsels both domestic and international clients on a wide variety of intellectual property matters, including acquisition, portfolio management, litigation, licensing, and dispute resolution.
Lael is a member of the International Association of Privacy Professionals (US/CIPP) and the Santa Clara County Bar Association. He is recognized as a leader in his field by Martindale-Hubbell with the Highest Level of Professional Excellence Award. Lael received his B.A. from the University of California, Santa Cruz and his J.D. from the University of the Pacific, McGeorge School of Law.
