Dickinson Wright PLLC is pleased to announce that Aaron Burrell (Member, Detroit) and Lloyd Pierre-Louis (Member, Columbus) have been named 2020 Black Leaders Worth Watching™ by Profiles in Diversity Journal.
The inaugural list of 2020 Black Leaders Worth Watching™ honor outstanding leaders within various fields who demonstrate their leadership through their careers, mentoring and supporting the next generation, and their commitment to the larger community. Each honoree will be profiled in the Profiles in Diversity Journal’s fall 2020 issue, which will be available online in late November at www.diversityjournal.com.
Aaron is a business lawyer who focuses his practice in the areas of complex commercial litigation, appellate law, labor and employment law, and minority business enterprises. He has prevailed in numerous complex, commercial-litigation cases in a number of state and federal trial courts and courts of appeals. He has also successfully defended clients in a wide range of discrimination and unfair-labor-practice claims in state and federal courts and administrative agencies, and he has counseled clients on all aspects of the employment relationship. Aaron is recognized as a leader in his field by Crain’s Detroit Business, Michigan Lawyers Weekly, DBusiness Magazine, and Michigan Super Lawyers.
Lloyd is a member of Dickinson Wright’s Cannabis Practice Group. His practice focuses on government affairs and administrative law, and particularly the legal cannabis and hemp industries. He represents clients providing the industry with equity and debt capital, equipment, devices, and other services. He also assists entities and individuals through every aspect of licensure, business operation, regulatory compliance, employment, and transactions with related businesses. He has authored numerous articles, presented to trade groups and has been interviewed regarding ongoing issues inside and outside the legal cannabis industry. Lloyd is recognized as a leader in his field by Best Lawyers in America.
