Melissa is the firm’s Director of Canadian Operations and Legal Recruitment, where she leads the recruitment, integration, professional development, and performance management of the firm’s Canadian associates, articling students, and summer law students. She also plays a meaningful role in the firm’s strategic and operational agenda, partnering with firm leadership on initiatives that advance business objectives and strengthen organizational effectiveness across its cross-border platform.
Melissa’s relationship with Dickinson Wright began in the Toronto office as a law student and continued as an associate in the firm’s Banking and Finance group. She later moved in-house at a real estate investment firm, gaining valuable commercial and operational perspective before returning to the firm in her current role. That combination of legal practice and business-side experience informs her approach to talent strategy and to supporting the firm’s lawyers throughout their careers.
Melissa serves on several firm-wide committees, including the Associates Committee, the Mentorship Council, and the Diversity Committee.
