Toronto Lawyer Wendy Hulton authored an article in the Canadian Natural Health Retailer titled "Waiting for the Smoke to Clear – Proposed Legalization of Recreational Cannabis – An Update".
“In the context of medical cannabis, last August, in response to the Federal Court of Appeal’s ruling in R. v. Allard, 2016 FC 236, the Marijuana for Medical Purposes Regulations were replaced by the Access to Cannabis for Medical Purposes Regulations,” wrote Ms. Hulton. “Under the new regulations, Health Canada can authorize producers to distribute dried marijuana, fresh marijuana and cannabis oil to eligible persons”.
