The Texas Tribune recently quoted Kathleen Campbell Walker in the article, "Texas is on the verge of making illegal border crossings a state crime. Here’s what you need to know." Kathleen gives insight into SB 4 and what effect it will have on those illegally entering the U.S. via Texas. S.B. 4 sets up another constitutional issue as to federal preemption and immigration laws. “Under U.S. immigration law there are state crimes that cause a person to be subject to removal from the United States,” she said.
