Dickinson Wright PLLC is pleased to announce that Rachel Schaffer Lawson has joined the firm’s Nashville office as Of Counsel.
Rachel is an alcohol and hospitality lawyer who focuses on helping business owners with their legal needs so they can get back to focusing on their businesses. Rachel joins Dickinson Wright from Schaffer Law Firm, which she founded back in 2011. Her experience as an entrepreneur gives her unique insight to her clients and their businesses as she has personally experienced all phases of owning a business – from start to scale to close.
“I’m thrilled to be joining Dickinson Wright’s Nashville office to build their alcohol and hospitality practice areas,” says Rachel. “Clients can expect the same outstanding service they have come to expect, now with a team 500 strong. Rachel provides a myriad of legal services to businesses across many industries, from trademarking and entity selection and formation to contract drafting, litigation, and alcohol licensing and permitting. In particular, she works with restaurants, bars, breweries, distilleries and distributors to obtain their beer and liquor licenses. Rachel received her B.A. from Northeastern University and her J.D. from Loyola University College of Law.
