Dickinson Wright PLLC is pleased to announce that Attorney Leslee Lewis has been named a “Woman Worth Watching” by Profiles in Diversity Journal.
The 18th Annual Women Worth Watching leadership issue recognizes dynamic professional women who are using their talents and influence to change our workplaces and our world. Nominated by their employers or colleagues, these accomplished executives are from corporate organizations, world-class educational institutions, the armed forces, and nonprofit groups.
Ms. Lewis is a Member in the firm’s Grand Rapids office where she serves as general corporate and real estate counsel to national, regional and emergent businesses and nonprofits in daily contracts and affairs, organization, financing, transactions and governance. She is also counsel to clean energy developers and lenders groups in all real estate, development, acquisition, financing, power purchase, opinion, contract, diligence and regulatory aspects of clean energy development, including projects involving the largest public and largest independent wind developers in North America.
Ms. Lewis serves on the firm’s Diversity and Inclusion Committee, is managing partner of the firm’s Grand Rapids office, leads its Nonprofit Task Force, is former Practice Department Manager for the firm’s Real Estate, Environmental, Energy & Sustainability practice group, and just concluded her last of three terms on the firm’s Governing Board. She also serves on the Zeeland Education Foundation Board, Goodwill Facilities Committee, is Chair Emeritus/Past President of West Michigan Learning Disabilities Foundation, and past Dwelling Place Transitional Housing Council member. She is recognized as a leader in her field by Best Lawyers in America, Super Lawyers, and Chambers USA. She is an elected fellow of ALI, American College of Real Estate Lawyers, and Counselors of Real Estate, serves on Michigan State Bar RPLS Council, a National Editorial Board Member for Practical Real Estate Lawyer, and a founding member of CREW West Michigan.
Ms. Lewis received her B.A. from Alma College and her J.D. from Notre Dame Law School.
