Dickinson Wright Receives the “Empowering Women” Award from Michigan Lawyers Weekly

Michigan Lawyers Weekly recently announced that Dickinson Wright is a recipient of its inaugural “Empowering Women” award. The program was created to recognize law firms and legal departments that have shown a strong commitment to supporting and elevating women attorneys through tangible and innovative efforts. Recipients being honored have demonstrated a commitment to hiring and promoting women, providing mentoring and opportunities for professional advancement to women attorneys, and establishing programs and policies to help women attorneys thrive professionally.
Dickinson Wright was recognized for its sponsorship of various third-party women’s scholarship programs and professional/affiliation organizations, the breadth and depth of the activities of its Women’s Network, as well as its internal mentorship programs.
“Dickinson Wright’s Women’s Network is always looking for new and innovative ways to promote and support women attorneys and prospective women attorneys,” noted Kathy Zelenock, Chair of the Women’s Network and Co-Chair of the firm’s Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Committee, and leader of the firm’s Real Estate Finance Practice Group. “We are proud of the work that we have done, pleased to have that work recognized with this award, and look forward to continued efforts in the years to come. The women attorneys of Dickinson Wright are a remarkable group, ranging from our most senior leadership to our first-year attorneys and spanning all of our 40+ practice areas. They are well-deserving of this recognition.”
