The Federation of Regulatory Counsel’s (FORC) Journal of Insurance Law and Regulation recently published an article by Daniel Cotter titled, “IPAS Brewing in Illinois.” Daniel addresses information on the Genetic Information Privacy Act, along with the issues facing insurers. “There have been a growing number of GIPA suits filed, especially against life insurers selling policies in Illinois. Insurers will need to consider how to address these increasing class action lawsuits and how to defend under GIPA,” he says. To read more, click here.
