Join Dickinson Wright Attorney Cynthia Moore for “Affordable Care Act Nuts and Bolts: What You Need to Know to Stay in Compliance” at the American Society of Employers on Thursday, August 25, 2016 from 9:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
This seminar will teach participants how the Affordable Care Act (ACA) impacts the operation and compliance of an employer’s group health plans. Participants will be eligible for .40 CEU credits (3.5 clock hours) and will learn how to:
• Identify whether an employer is a “applicable large employer” subject to the Employer Shared Responsibility rules under the ACA;
• Describe the penalties that apply if an applicable large employer does not offer health plan coverage to substantially all of its full-time employees, or offers coverage that is not affordable or does not provide minimum value;
• Outline the process for identifying full-time employees for purposes of ACA reporting and penalty purposes; and
• Articulate the changes that the ACA made to health plan design, including cost-sharing limits, changes affecting HRAs and FSAs; and changes affecting wellness plans.
