Dylan E. Augruso

In Memoriam

With deep sadness, we announce the passing of Dylan Augruso, a highly revered associate in Dickinson Wright’s Toronto office. Often described as a compassionate, brilliant, and warm colleague, Dylan began his journey with Dickinson Wright as a summer student in 2015 while completing his JD at Osgoode Hall Law School. Returning to Dickinson Wright in 2016, Dylan’s intelligence, strong advocacy skills, and esteemed communication led to a broad civil litigation practice focused on business and employment litigation.

An alumnus of Lakehead University, Dylan loved to travel, play soccer, and spend time with family and friends.  Most recently, Dylan had announced his engagement and was excited to begin his married life in Toronto.

Dylan found ways to combine his passions by volunteering as duty counsel at the Toronto Small Claims Court and the Sport Dispute Resolution Centre of Canada, where he provided pro bono services on behalf of unrepresented litigants. Dylan was an accomplished speaker and writer who often appeared in legal publications and instructed labour law at George Brown College.

Dylan was an exceptional colleague, truly loved by those in the firm who worked with him. His loss is deeply felt at Dickinson Wright and across the entire legal community.  Our thoughts and prayers are with Dylan’s family, friends and fiancée during this most difficult time.
