Join Dickinson Wright Attorney Dennis Whittlesey for the National Council of Legislators from Gaming States (NCLGS) 2017 Winter Meeting on January 6-8, 2017 at the Hotel Valley Ho in Scottsdale, Ariz.
Mr. Whittlesey will serve as a panelist for “Tribal Gaming Legal Issues with States,” on January 7, 2017. Participants will receive an update and hear a discussion of the currently pending cases involving the roles of the tribes and the states vis-à-vis gaming, including recent cases and new compacts from Arizona, California, New Mexico and Florida.
The NCLGS is the only organization of state lawmakers that meets on a regular basis to discuss issues in regard to gaming. NCLGS is a proactive participant in educating legislators on gaming issues, in the development of public policy related to state-authorized gaming, and, where consensus exists, in representing the states before Congress and the executive branch of the federal government on states’ rights issues relating to gaming. NCLGS meetings provide information on cutting edge gaming issues that legislators need to know with programs that include balanced panel presentations that offer opposing views.
