PROMINENT ASSIGNMENTS

Co-lead counsel for Ford Motor Company in antitrust/RICO litigation with claimed damages in excess of $3 billion. All thirteen counts, including antitrust and refusal to deal claims, dismissed by District Court and affirmed by Sixth Circuit on appeal. 

Represented major sporting goods manufacture as co-lead counsel and obtained preliminary injunction against competitor for patent infringement of sporting good equipment design.

Michigan counsel on patent litigation matters for Google Inc. and Henrob Ltd.

Co-lead counsel for Compuware in three lawsuits stemming from opposing party's misconduct in an asset purchase transaction and alleged misappropriation of trade secrets. Obtained summary dismissal of two lawsuits and successfully obtained and collected multi-million dollar judgment in the third lawsuit.

Co-lead counsel for MGM Grand Detroit in putative class action alleging violations of the Michigan Consumer Protective Act in operation of slot machines and obtained summary dismissal of all claims. Dismissal of cases affirmed on appeal.

Represented Northwest Airlines, Inc. as Michigan counsel in predatory pricing lawsuit. Settled on favorable terms after summary dismissal at trial court level.

Represented Northwest Airlines, Inc. as Michigan counsel in class action lawsuit alleging price-fixing conspiracy between Northwest and other major airline competitors.

Represented Northwest Airlines, Inc, as Michigan counsel in lawsuit brought by the Department of Justice challenging Northwest's ownership in Continental Airlines on antitrust grounds. Settled on favorable terms after commencement of trial.

First and second chair trial experience in state and federal courts and arbitrations.

Counsel a variety of clients on antitrust, franchise, distribution and dealer termination matters.

Counsel to clients on intellectual property matters including patent licensing and intellectual property portfolio management.

Co-lead counsel representing Fortune 100 company in Department of Justice investigation for alleged price fixing among competitors. Represent same client in putative civil class actions filed in multiple jurisdictions which have been successfully consolidated by the Joint Panel of Multi-District Litigation in United States District Court for the E.D. Mich.
