
As an associate attorney in Dickinson Wright's Fort Lauderdale office, Rafael focuses his practice on corporate law, mergers & acquisitions, securities law, and private equity. As a native Spanish speaker with a bicultural background, he can better address his client's needs when dealing with sophisticated cross-border and domestic corporate transactions. Prior to joining the firm, Rafael gained experience in general corporate matters, structuring corporate entities, raising capital via debt or equity financing documents, and commercial agreements.
In law school, Rafael was a member of the Business Law Society and transactional skills program where he gained first-hand experience in contract drafting and transactional negotiations.
Prior to law school, Rafael served as an assistant to both a Florida Representative and a Florida Senator. His experience in the Florida legislature allowed him to grasp the importance of strategic policy solutions to serve constituents’ specific needs.
