Kristyn Annis

Of Counsel
Ms. Annis is a tri-lingual power lawyer who works closely with her clients to help them build their energy and infrastructure businesses.  She advises Indigenous groups, developers and lenders on all aspects of renewable energy generation and transmission development. Specifically, Ms. Annis negotiates the suite of agreements involved in power and infrastructure projects including legal and economic partnerships, financing agreements, supply and service agreements. Ms. Annis also has regulatory expertise, having represented various clients before the Ontario Energy Board regarding the development of greenfield generation, enabler transmission and distribution expansion and natural gas regulation. 
Ms. Annis has in-house and policy experience that provides value add to her clients’ business matters.  Ms. Annis’ in-house experience includes working as legal counsel to a renewable energy developer and working at one of Canada’s leading banking institutions.  At the bank, Ms. Annis led a legal department dedicated to syndicated finance and energy and infrastructure project finance.  More than 3 years of experience advising both the Minister of Energy and Premier of Ontario on energy, economic development and Indigenous affairs provides valuable perspective to her clients.  
Ms. Annis received her B. Eng. in civil engineering from McGill University and her LL.B. (French common law) from the University of Ottawa. Ms. Annis is fluent in French and Spanish.
