Kory M. Steen

Associate

As an associate in Dickinson Wright’s litigation practice group, Kory Steen effectively resolves business disputes for his clients. Prior to joining Dickinson Wright, Kory was an associate at another large national law firm where he focused his practice on business litigation, particularly in the areas of labor and employment, contracts, IP litigation, and alternative dispute resolution. Prior to private practice, Kory worked as a judicial clerk to the Honorable Avern Cohn (2018-2019). While working for Judge Cohn, Kory also worked part-time as an adjunct professor for the University of Detroit Mercy School of Law's Moot Court program. Prior to serving as a judicial clerk, Kory worked as a judicial intern to the Honorable Marianne O. Battani (2016) and as an intern for Michigan's Attorney Grievance Commission (2017). 

Before beginning his legal career, Kory worked in the hospitality industry where he managed staff on a cruise line and opened a restaurant in a Windsor casino. Through these experiences, he developed a keen understanding of effective business practices.
