Lloyd Pierre-Louis

Lloyd Pierre-Louis is a member of Dickinson Wright’s Cannabis Practice Group. His practice includes government affairs and civil litigation, but has more recently turned to representing clients in the legal medical marijuana space as well.  He represents clients in the medical marijuana and hemp-CBD industry, including clients providing capital, equipment, devices, search and services to the industry.  He assists entities and individuals - such as cultivators, processors, dispensaries, prospective purchasers or acquisition targets – through every aspect of licensure, business operation, regulatory compliance, employment, and transactions with related businesses.

In the past, Lloyd's lobbying efforts have resulted in multiple bills and amendments passed and signed by the Governor of Ohio, and administrative rules have been amended or withdrawn in areas that include local government, public housing, commercial activity, gaming, medical marijuana and healthcare. His prior litigation experience includes all phases of administrative appeals for licensees facing state action, redistricting cases based on both state and federal law, and other types of civil matters.
