A member in Dickinson Wright’s Ann Arbor office, Christopher Ryan co-chairs the healthcare litigation practice, bringing a robust background in civil litigation to the healthcare sector.

Chris has devoted his career to representing businesses, physicians, mid-level providers, hospitals, and insurance companies in a wide range of litigation and administrative matters. He has assisted clients in matters involving allegations of medical malpractice, licensing investigations, billing investigations and audits (including RAC and UPIC audits), class actions, ERISA, medical claim payment disputes, Medicare/Medicaid enrollment disputes and appeals, breach of contract litigation, non-compete litigation, medical staff issues, and cases involving allegations of misappropriation of trade secrets, violations of the False Claim Act, violations of the Anti-Kickback Statute, violations of Stark law, and wrongful/negligent medical billing. Chris handles cases in arbitration as well as in numerous state and federal courts around the country.

In addition to his healthcare experience, Chris also represents businesses and individuals in high-stakes litigation and alternative dispute resolution outside of the healthcare industry. He regularly handles complex litigation, including business/shareholder disputes, lawsuits over enforcement of noncompetition agreements, business torts, and intellectual property cases involving patents, trademarks, and copyrights.
