Alex is an associate in the Toronto office at Dickinson Wright. He is building a broad practice in a variety of industries including gaming, corporate/commercial, sports and entertainment, and intellectual property.
Alex joined the Toronto office following his articling at Ontario’s Alcohol and Gaming Commission. During law school, Alex was a committed member of Osgoode Hall’s Entertainment and Sports Law Association where he acted as Director of Sport for two years and became an active contributor to The IPilogue, Osgoode’s IP blog, where he wrote on issues related to sports, entertainment, and the environment. In 2018, Alex travelled to Hamburg, Germany where he obtained a certificate in International IP Transactions from Bucerius Law School. More recently, Alex’s IP moot team was invited to compete at the University of Oxford for Oxford’s International IP Moot. Following delays due to Covid, the team placed second in the world and was awarded the 2021 Kirkland & Ellis Certificate for Oral Proceeding in the Competition.
