David Preger was recently quoted in The Globe and Mail’s article, “Private lender Romspen owes itself $410-million after resolving debt default from largest borrower,” discussing Romspen's recent acquisition of the Woodbine Mall in Toronto, a 50-acre redevelopment site, pursuant to a reverse vesting transaction in a Court-supervised CCAA proceeding. “The transaction structure reflects a number of commercial considerations, including the preservation of future economic optionality, rather than any attempt to manage or avoid negative NAV impacts,” stated Preger.
