Dickinson Wright PLLC is pleased to announce that Attorney Christopher Ryan has joined the firm’s Ann Arbor office as Of Counsel.
Chris is a civil litigator with a focus on the healthcare industry. For nearly a decade, Chris has represented businesses, physicians, hospitals, and insurance companies in a wide range of litigation matters including medical malpractice, licensing investigations, intellectual property, breach of contract, medical staff issues, and employment and non-compete agreements.
Chris has experience representing businesses and individuals in high stakes litigation both inside and outside of the healthcare industry. He has experience with courts throughout the State of Michigan (including the Michigan Court of Appeals and Michigan Supreme Court), and has appeared in several federal courts throughout the United States.
Chris received his B.B.A. from the Western Michigan University Haworth College of Business and his J.D. from the Michigan State University College of Law. While attending law school, Chris served as Editor-in-Chief of the Journal of Medicine and Law. He graduated cum laude while earning both his law school and undergraduate degrees, and received Jurisprudence Awards in Health Law and No-Fault Insurance.
Chris is a member of the Health Care Law, Negligence Law, and Litigation sections of the State Bar of Michigan. He is also a member of the Oakland County Bar Association, Michigan Society of Healthcare Risk Management (MSHRM), and Michigan Defense Trial Counsel (MDTC).
Chris was first recognized as a “Rising Star” by Super Lawyers in 2012 and holds a Martindale-Hubbell rating of AV Preeminent, which is the highest level that can be achieved. He was also selected as a dBusiness “Top Lawyer” and was named one of Michigan Lawyer’s Weekly’s Up & Coming Lawyers in 2015, an honor bestowed upon a very select group of legal practitioners who set themselves apart from their peers during their first 10 years of practice.
