Intellectual Property Attorney Brian Mangum Joins Dickinson Wright's Austin Office as a Member

Dickinson Wright PLLC is pleased to announce that Attorney Brian T. Mangum has joined the firm’s Austin office as a Member.
“We are excited that Brian has joined our growing patent prosecution practice in Austin,” says Robert Stearns, Co-Chair of the firm’s Patent Prosecution practice. “His skills in the computer and electrical technology arena and his pragmatic, strategic approach to IP portfolio management are great assets to our team and clients.”
Mr. Mangum specializes in developing and managing patent and trademark portfolios to fit each client’s unique circumstances and technologies. He also represents clients in intellectual property litigation and post-grant review proceedings, licensing, identification of patentable innovations, and asset acquisition negotiations. His litigation experience includes representing clients against claims of infringement in federal and appellate court and before the U.S. International Trade Commission, as well as inter partes review (IPR) proceedings before the Patent Trial and Appeal Board.
Mr. Mangum is also active in the Austin startup community. He enjoys pursuing a holistic approach to representing his early-stage and mid-sized clients, assisting them in a wide range of intellectual property and corporate matters.
Mr. Mangum is a member of the American Bar Association, the Patent Trial and Appeal Board Bar Association, and the Austin Intellectual Property Law Association. He received his B.S. in Computer Engineering from Texas A&M University and his J.D. from the University of Texas at Austin School of Law.
