Dan Ujczo (Of Counsel and Cross Border (Canada - U.S.) Practice Group Chair, Columbus) was quoted by Canadian Lawyer Magazine on trade relations between Canada and the U.S. for an article called “Canada-U.S. trade partnership is set to flourish, says trade lawyer.” Dan argues that the relationship will thrive as the global climate for trade becomes more volatile, and that the relationship will become more valuable for companies looking for shelter from the storm in times of rising tariffs and global uncertainty.
“The fact that Canada, through the United States-Mexico-Canada Agreement, will have preferential access to the U.S. and a network of 50 other trade agreements around the world makes this a safe harbour in a tumultuous time of trade,” Dan told the publication.
