Patrick has more than a decade of experience supporting the needs of domestic and international companies, tech startups, trade associations and public entities in the development of comprehensive models for achieving regulatory and legislative goals and assisting clients in effectively responding to policy and political concerns.
Among the major representations in his career, Patrick has:
- Drafted a multi-year government relations strategy adopted by a Fortune 500 company.
- Supported crisis management efforts, including delaying enforcement and regulatory actions for a client in the pharmaceutical industry.
- Analyzed political risk of investments and transactions for several hedge funds and private equity funds.
- Coordinated media, legal and lobbying efforts in support of government contract protests.
Prior to joining Dickinson Wright, Patrick had experience as Director of Government strategy at an international law firm. During his career on Capitol Hill, he has worked for a senior member and Subcommittee Chairman of the U.S. House of Representatives Committee on Appropriations, during which time he also served as co-director of the Congressional Border Caucus and was a lead staffer in establishing the Congressional Hispanic Conference and the Congressional Hispanic Leadership Institute. He also previously worked for the U.S. Senate Committee on Banking, Housing and Urban Affairs during the development of the Sarbanes-Oxley Act.
