Justin S. Zatkoff



Mr. Zatkoff focuses his practice on advising closely-held and family-owned businesses on matters relating to corporate governance, contracts, employment, compensation and risk management, litigation strategies, and business succession planning, which includes wealth transfer and asset protection. As a licensed realtor, Mr. Zatkoff also advises businesses and high-net-worth individuals on the acquisition and disposition of commercial and residential property.

Mr. Zatkoff is admitted to practice law in the State of Michigan. He graduated from the University of Detroit Mercy School of Law with honors, where he was a member of the Law Review and the Moot Court Board of Advocates. Prior to joining Dickinson Wright, Mr. Zatkoff served as a law clerk for Michigan Supreme Court Justice Brian K. Zahra, and served as a judicial intern for Judge Lawrence P. Zatkoff, U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Michigan.

Mr. Zatkoff is very involved in the community, serving as a board member on the Governor’s Council on Physical Fitness, Health and Sports, and participating as an active member of the Young Leader’s section of the Detroit Economic Club.

Advising family foundations, donor-advised funds, and other charitable and non-profit organizations.

Advising businesses and individuals on the acquisition and disposition of real property, including financing, new construction, leasing, warranties and representations, title insurance, boundary disputes and surveying, economic development and land use, and property taxation.
