Attorney Peter Pang to Speak at the U.S. Department of Commerce "U.S. - China Administrative Licensing Dialogue"

Dickinson Wright PLLC is pleased to announce that Attorney Peter C. Pang will be speaking about administrative licensing at the U.S. Department of Commerce’s “U.S. – China Administrative Licensing Dialogue: Review of Government Licensing Decisions” on May 20 – 21, 2014 in Washington, D.C.

This is the third meeting of the Joint Commission on Commerce and Trade’s Commercial Law Working Group Administrative Licensing Dialogue. The program brings together government experts and the business communities from the United States and China to discuss an aspect of administrative licensing that is crucial to businesses: judicial and administrative review of governmental licensing actions.

Over two full days, experts from both governments and the private sector will provide updates on recent developments in administrative licensing laws and policies in China and the United States, and an overview of how and when businesses may challenge licensing decisions issued by government agencies and ministries. Business representatives and academic experts from both countries will share perspectives from their experiences.

Peter C. Pang is Of Counsel in Dickinson Wright’s Washington, D.C. office. He specializes in helping multi-national companies in establishing a foothold and making an investment in China. He assists foreign enterprises to obtain difficult, hard to get licenses, permits, approvals and government support for entry into the highly regulated Chinese industries. As a lobbyist with many years of experience, Mr. Pang is well connected with the Central and many Provincial governments in China. Mr. Pang advises American companies on how to be competitive in the China and global economy and has held various senior level legal positions, board seats and executive management roles.
