By: Peter J. Kulick On May 13, 2008, the Michigan Gaming Control Board ("MGCB") released the revenue data for April 2008 for the three commercial casinos in Detroit, Michigan. The revenue data reveals an overall increase in gaming revenue compared to April 2007. The revenue data released by the MGCB also includes the total wagering tax payments made by the casinos to the State of Michigan. The decrease in the Michigan wagering tax payments for April 2008 is the result of a decrease in the wagering tax rates for MGM Grand Detroit and MotorCity. The gaming revenue for the MGM Grand Detroit, MotorCity and Greektown for April 2008 were:
